Teachers may feel apprehensive when it comes to teaching reproductive and sexual health, and this can be due to a variety of factors. Feeling they lack knowledge and resources on the subject; feeling insufficiently prepared to answer students’ questions; and feeling uncertain about how to approach sensitive issues and manage diversity in the classroom, can all be cause for hesitation.
Family Planning NSW delivers best practice education and training in reproductive and sexual health. Family Planning NSW is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) authorised by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) to provide nationally accredited courses under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
Here, you will find a range of courses that have been specifically designed for teachers; providing up-to-date information and practical teaching strategies to engage students and support them in learning about reproductive and sexual health.
