The Freedom Condom project is a friendly, confidential way for young people up to the age of 30 to get FREE condoms.
Why do I need one?
The Freedom Condom project enables you to access FREE condoms from ANY provider in NSW!
If you are sexually active, condoms are your best defence against sexually transmissible infections (STIs) and unintended pregnancy.
STIs are most common in young people aged 15-29 and often have no symptoms. Remember that preventing STIs is easier than treating them.
The Freedom Condom project also enables you to access information and support from trained workers.
How do I get a Freedom Condom card?
Simply go to a Family Planning NSW clinic or a youth service that displays the Freedom Condom poster or sticker and ask for your own Freedom Condom card. Then you receive free condoms every time you present your card at a registered provider.
To find your nearests Freedom Condom provider or for more information on the project, safe sex, condoms, contraception, STIs and testing, visit the Freedom Condom website.
Service providers
Do you think this project would work at your organisation?
Youth centres and other services can become a registered Freedom Condom provider. Family Planning NSW will train your staff to implement the project at your workplace.
Learn how to engage young people when talking about reproductive and sexual health, how to conduct a condom demonstration and provide information about STIs and contraception. All training and resources are provided at no cost.
