The face sweats more during puberty, and a layer of oil and dirt can build up and cause pimples (sometimes called acne). This is normal and pimples eventually go away. Keeping your skin clean is important and try not to touch or squeeze pimples, as this can make them worse or give you scars.

Pimples can appear on other parts of the body too, like your back and chest. If your pimples are very bad, a doctor can help treat them.
